Niswander Environmental designed, constructed, and currently manages two adjacent on-site wetland mitigations in Ithaca. The first wetland mitigation was constructed in 2017. 2.64 acres of emergent wetland were built and monitored for a period of 5 years. The wetland was expanded in 2019 to include mitigation for a separate on-site wetland impact. 0.85 acres of forested wetland were built and will be monitored for a period of 10 years. These mitigations were for two different wetland impacts and constructed under separate wetland permits, and each follows its own permit requirements.
